  1. Barenboim's rendition of Liebestraum is simply magical and exquisite! Richter plays it beautifully too, but very poorly recorded (Russia Revelation ). The same recording is available from DG Galleria, but it has strange very annoying tinkling sound towards the end of Liebestraum No.3 (maybe my own copy only), so I bought this original CD issue/5(2).
  2. The album has a very nice selection of Liszt's famous piano pieces (all of them are love songs) and they are arranged beautifully and the order of the music is perfect and it will simply touch a deeper place in lovers' heart. Liszt music gives a romantic atmosphere and it does not need words/5(22).

  5. Liebestraum No. 3 in A-flat major is the last of the three that Liszt wrote and the most popular.. It can be considered as split into three sections, each divided by a fast cadenza requiring dexterous finger work and a very high degree of technical ability.. The same melody is used throughout the piece, each time varied, especially near the middle of the work, where the climax is reached.
